It will be 10 years this October since Carl Wayne decided that something ought to be done to preserve The Move's recorded legacy. From that moment, a remarkable effort has been undertaken to seek out original master tapes, live recordings, session multitracks, photos and memorabilia from all over the world. Sadly, Carl was unable to see the restoration of The Move's catalogue in the UK or this career-crunching 4-CD collection, the sovereign set in Salvo/Fly’s reissue programme of 40th anniversary releases. In his honour, The Move Anthology is dedicated to the memory of Carl Wayne and will clearly show why The Move were one of the finest bands ever to have emerged out of Britain.
