EMI Catalogue are proud to announce the release of a brand new
compilation of their - and their various off-shoots' - finest moments.
As well as featuring top 10 hits by Roy Wood and Wizzard,
'Harvest Showdown' features alternate or previously
unissued versions of much of the label's greatest works, including
a selection of tracks that have never been released on any format
before - such as the withdrawn 7" single version of ELO's
'Mr Radio', an early take of the instrumental
b-side 'In Old England Town' and from
the long out of print 'Wizzard Brew',
an edited version of 'Buffalo Station'.

Obviously
another integral part of the full HARVEST picture are the
solo offerings from Roy Wood which are also incorporated
here. His 1973 hit a-sides, 'Dear
Elaine' and 'Forever'
are included, alongside the often-neglected 'Boulders'
album track 'Rock Down Low',
all of which are remastered from the original master tapes
by Abbey Road Studios' Peter Mew, under approval
from the artists and with ELO & Move archivist Rob
Caiger. A full colour booklet contains sections for
each artist and features a variety of excellent photos,
comments from the artists, memorabilia and more!

Throughout
its late 60s and early 70s heyday, Harvest was a catalyst for
many of its progressive and more experimental artists and this
1 hour-plus comprehensive compilation, with its snatches
of count-ins and talkbacks from Wood, Lynne and
Bevan, from the original recording sessions and an exclusive
hidden track by ELO, stands as a fine testament to the label.
